Vallemaggia Magic Blues, Vallemaggia

"During the hot Summer evenings in Ticino, in the grotti and squares of Vallemaggia Blues, melodies fill the skies, thanks to this open-air Blues event featuring both national and international bands. Thanks also to the original concept which married quality music and stunning locations, this 'itinerant' festival has found itself a secure place among the most important events in the region. Marva Wright, John Mooney, Eric Sardinas, Tabby Thomas, Walter Trout, Nine Below Zero, Louisiana Red, Popa Chubby, Carey & Lurrie Bell, Kenny Neal, Big Bill Morganfield, Ronnie Baker Brooks, Sydney Ellis, Toni Lynn Washington and Sax Gordon represent just a handful of the important names who have played the Vallemaggia stages.
The 2009 musical itinerary unravels through the entire valley, stopping in the squares of Brontallo, Maggia, Giumaglio, Cevio, Bosco Gurin and Gordevio, in addition to various grotti. In the programme the highlight is the legendary "Climax Blues Band", cult band of British Blues, who achieved world-wide success with tracks like "Couldn't Get It Right" and "I Love You". "
